Yellow Wort (Blackstonia Perfoliata) growing on open stoney soil in Bedforshire. The bright yellow petals of this plant vary between six and eight, with deeply divided sepals and a short petal tube. The grey-green stem leaves are in pairs with their bases fused. The seeds are small with a netlike pattern. The flowers usually close up early afternoon. The plant flowers from June to October.
