The popularity of the legend of the Black Dog has resulted in an image of the beast being incorporated into the town's coat of arms, shop names such as Black Dog Antiques and until recently he was also incorporated in the town’s weather vane (pictured). He is also remembered in the Black Dog Running Club, Black Dog Marathon, and the Black Dogs is the name of Bungay Town Football Club
