Woolpit is an attractive Suffolk village with period and modern houses and a mediaeval village centre. Its greatest claims to fame is still the12th century legend of the two mysterious green children — a girl of around 10 and a younger boy — from a strange land, speaking an unknown language would only eat green foods.
