Anne Hathaway's cottage is a thatched, timber-framed building in Shottery, about one mile out of Stratford's town centre. Anne Hathaway lived in the cottage as a child. Her father Richard Hathaway was a farmer. Anne lived in the cottage until her marriage to William Shakespeare on 27th November 1582.
