Once the field is harvested the combine is taken apart. As well as wheat and barley the combine harvester has to be adaptable to harvest a whole variety of crops with different seed size, -from oilseed rape which is very small in contrast to crops like beans and peas. There are many variables that can be adjusted by the driver to ensure that the end crop is clean and free from the contamination of other seeds and straw. Field near Gamlingay Cambs August 2005
