The bright yellow petals of this plant vary between six and eight, with deeply divided sepals and a short petal tube. The grey-green stem leaves are in pairs with their bases fused. The seeds are small with a netlike pattern. The flowers usually close up early afternoon. The plant flowers from June to October. Pictured late September 2005 at Old Warden Railway Cutting, Bedfordshire. For more close up pictures see the July plant diary.
