A small delicate plant that flowers from May to September. Later in the Autumn the leaves turn a red colour and in Medieval times it was thought to cure blood disorders. It is widespread in shady areas such as hedgerows throughout Britain. Pictured at Stevington Bedfordshire early September 2005.
