Leucopaxillus giganteus, Giant Funnel. This is a large, whitish fungus with relatively short, stout stems, which grows in groups in grassy banks, and occasionally in rings in grassland. The caps can be up to 30cm across. White gills run down towards the stem, these darken to buff with age. Some years this is common and then it will not be seen at all for several years.
