Bramble usually flowers from May to September. However after a warm October and early November, brambles at Stevington, Bedfordshire could be found in all stages of flowering from early buds, through full flowers to the start of fruit formation. There are many microspecies of bramble, a prickly climbing shrub of the rose family with white or pink flowers and black berries. It grows in scrubland, gardens, wasteland, hedgerows and woodlands. Pictured November 2005 at Stevington Bedfordshire.
