The commonest species of mouse-ear, this plant is a low herb usually less than 20cm, with runners and uright flower shoots. The stem and leaves are all hairy. It has small white flowers usually with 10 stamens and white divided petals, usually the same length or slightly longer than the green sepals. The sepals are hairy with narrow chaffy edges. It flowers April to October. Picture taken near Old Warden, Bedfordshire May 18th 2006.
