A collective name for a group of white flowered, pond plants of the buttercup family. The leaves and size of flower are variable in the group. Here the leaves were not visible. Water Crowfoot flowers May to June and is common in ponds and ditches all over the British Isles except in very mountainous areas. Picture taken May 2nd 2006 at Maulden, Bedfordshrie.
