A common plant with white hooded flowers that grows in hedgerows and wastelands. The plant relies on bumble bees for pollination and the flower shape is suited to this. It is called a dead nettle as it lacks the stinging hairs. It has a long flowering period from May to December. Picture taken 6th May 2006 at Felmersham, Bedfordshire
