A hairy plant with deeply lobed white petals. It grows to between 30 and 100 cm tall. The plants are dioecious, that is there are separate male and female plants. The male plants has 10 stamens and the female has 5 styles. It grows in hedgerows, woods and in waste and arable land. The plants flower May to October. Picture taken on 3rd June 2006 at Felmersham, Bedfordshire. For further pictures see the May plant diary.
