This plant is slightly less hairy than the field forget-me-not and has larger flowers 8-10mm wide. It is generally more robust. It has blue flowers with a bright yellow eye. The caylix teeth are short and triangular and the leaves oblong (3 to 5x long as wide). It grows on stream sides, marshes and damp places but has also been widely planted. It was once used to produce a syrup for coughs and lung complaints. Picture taken at Stevington Bedfordshire - 13th May 2006.
