The white or rosey coloured flowers are carried on heads on long stems. A whitish band usually encircles the base of each leaflet. The stems creep along the ground and take root. The flowers are rich in nectar and attract bees. Once the flowers are fertilised they fold down over the developing pods. It flowers June to September. Picture taken 3rd June at Stevington, Bedfordshire.
