This plant is a hybrid of Common Comfrey and Rough Comfrey. and is now the most common species found on roadsides, hedgerows and wasteground. Comfrey has long been associated with healing wounds and common comfrey was used to make a binding for broken limbs. Picture taken 26th June 2006 near Northill, Bedfordshire.
