This plant is downy with a square shaped stem shown with strap-shaped almost blunt leaves almost parallel sided and stalkless. The pale pink flowers with a club shaped stigma. It is either the Square-stalked Willow-herb of the closely related Short-fruited willowherb (Epilobium obscurum. Both are common on damp meadow land and wasteland. Picture taken June 2006.
