This plant is a woody climbing plant common in hedgerows and wood borders. It has greenish-creamy flowers with four sepals. From late summer the plants start to develop a long feathery white plumed style from each seed. The seeds sit in clusters and the plumes give a white hair like appearance hence its nickname -Old man's beard. Picture taken 23rd July 2006 at Old Warden, Bedfordshire
