In 1982 a team of archeologists discovered the remains of the Flag Fen post alignment. These excavations were opened to the public as a visitor attraction in 1987. The timbers shown in the picture are the original 3000 year old timbers, kept wet to preserve them. Picture taken on 6th August 2006 at Flag Fen, Cambridgeshire.
