Bronze age families would have been large and extended. Religious sites such as Whittlesey and Flag Fen would have helped unite the networks of families. The dignified nature of religious ceremonies and possibly the dangers would have meant that children were not allowed to attend. Picture taken on 6th August 2006 at Flag Fen, Cambridgeshire.
