Excavations at West Stow showed evidence of around 76 buildings. Archaeologists used this evidence to reconstruct some of the homes. This house was built with the simplest technology in 1974. It tests the basic idea of a living floor above a pit (pits were found at the site). The roof is supported by the six posts not the wall.
