A plant with grey-green leaves and long yellow and orange flowers (30-80cm) that grows on grassland, arable land, wasteland and hedgerows. It gained its name because of its flax-like leaves, the toad being added as it was thought of as useless and only suitable for toads. It flowers July - October. Picture taken near Cardington, Bedfordshire - August 28th 2006.
