This plant has long been valued for its perfume and used in herbal remedies as well as folk lore to protect againt serpents. It is a downy, untidy looking straggly plant with pink-purple flowers. It grows in hedges, scrub and wood boarders. Picture taken on 6th July 2006 at Old Warden, Bedfordshire.
