A downy, little branched plant with a slight sage scent. It has a rosette of root leaves and small purple-blue flowers in whorls. The flowers have a hood shaped upper lip. A mucilage made from the soaked seeds used to be used as a cure for sore eyes. Picture taken 24th July 2006 at Elstow, Bedfordshire.
