A plant with grey-green leaves and long yellow and orange flowers (30-80cm) that grows on grassland, arable land, wasteland and hedgerows. It gained its name because of its flax like leaves, the toad being added as it was thought of as useless and only suitable for toads. It flowers July - October. Picture taken near Bedford 30th September 2006.
