A common plant with white hooded flowers that grows in hedgerows, wastelands. The plant relies on Bumble Bees for pollination and the flower shape is suited to this. It is called a dead nettle as it lacks the stinging hairs. It has a long flowering period from May to December. Picture taken at Maulden, Bedfordshire October 19th 2006.
