This Memorial is situated at the centre of Queen's Gardens in front of Buckingham Palace. The sculpture was built by Sir Thomas Brock, in 1911 and the marble surround was constructed by the architect Sir Aston Webb. It is a Grade I listed building. Facing towards the Mall is a large statue of Queen Victoria. The other sides feature the Angels of Justice the Angel of Truth and Charity. The sculpture has a nautical theme with mermaids, mermen and a hippogriff. Picture taken Decembr 16th 2006.
