Piccadilly Circus was built in 1819 to connect Regent Street and Piccadilly in the City of Westminster. The name Circus comes from the circular open space at the street junction. Near to many London theatres, shopping and entertainment areas it is a busy meeting point, shopping area and a tourist attraction in its own right, know for its video displays and neon signs. .
