This is one of London's largest and best equipped theatres. It is located in St Martin Lane. It opened in 1904 and was designed by Frank Matcham, a famous theatrical architect. It was one of the first building to have electric lighting and also a revolving stage. The first performance was held on 24th December 1904. It is the home of English National Opera, other companies such as English National Ballet also perform here. The building interior was rennovated between 2000 and 2004.
