These three balck and white sows are a breed known as 'Saddlebacks'. The breed produces nice ham but lays down a lot of fat. When crossed with the boar Bertie, who is a 'large white' by breed the offspring make good bacon. Picture taken at Farrowby Farm, Hertfordshire on 15th January 2007.
