This agreement written in Latin on parchment c1200 is between Alexander de Kerkeby and William son of Roger de Hales. Alexander is mortgaging his land including a mill for a term of 20 years in exchange for 80 marks of silver from William. Part of this will pay Alexander's debt with interest to the Jews of Norwich.
