The pigs are different sizes. As they develop some will be selected for pork and some bacon. The pigs seleted for pork go to market earlier as the joints of meat do not want to be too large. The reamining pigs are feed up until they reach a suitable weight for bacon. There is a pork weight and a bacon weight. Picture taken at Farrowby Farm Hertfordshire on 15th January 2007.
