This is the concluding paragraph of the 1848 draft speech. The writer argues that the exclusion of the Jews from parliament is based partly on sectarian bigotry, partly on mistaken zeal and "partly by a natural prejudice arising from undefined opinions regarding them as a class, and the unjust calumnies of our ancestors". He argues it is inconsistent with Christian principles - justice, brotherhood, freedom from prejudice, and charity. The draft of 6 pages is dated 20 May 1848.
