On 15 January 1757 Veneranda Maria Elizabetta, an alien, the wife of John Laram of St Anne's, Westminster and the Manor of Little Holkham, Norfolk was granted denizenship by George II. This detail shows the elaborate nature of the Grant, with Veneranda's name on the 3rd and 4th lines and the word 'denizen' on the 5th line. This meant that she was now 'English'.
