These log book entries from January and February 1945 show the affect of the war on Chelmsford Cathedral Church of England Primary School, then only for boys.
The damamge could well have been caused by the direct hit by a V2 rocket at the Hoffman's factory on Tuesday 19 December 1944. It resulted in the greatest loss of life in Chelmsford due to a single wartime incident, killing 39 and injuring 138 people.
