There is usually a runt in the litter (a small pig that does not compete so well for food). On some farms these are discarded but on this farm they are kept after the other pigs have gone and feed until they make up the weight. The small runt also thicker fur than the other pigs to help it keep warm. Picture taken on 15th January 2007 at Farrowby Farm, Hertfordshire.
