At the museum there is a World War 2 homelife display. It shows many items from the Second World War. It also shows how people used to entertain themselves. Children used to get two milk bottle tops and put a hole through them. Then wind the wool over the two pieces of card through the hole. When the wound wool was very thick, they would cut through the wool between the two cards. Then they would tie wool very tightly between the two cards so it held all the wool in the centre. Then when they removed the card they had a pom pom.
