When you get to breadcrumb texture, the butter will be evenly spread through the mix; the texture is of small light pieces like breadcrumbs and, if your butter is yellow, a more golden colour. Do NOT go past this stage and over mix as it will start to clump togther and give you a heavy, greasy pastry or crumble.
