On the wall of the kitchen can be seen the speaking tubes, which along with bells that hung in the hall were the means of calling the servants. The door in the corner leads to a small room from which a butler's life carried food up to the serving hatch in the dining room. With thanks to 'The Georgian House Museum', 7 Great George Street, Bristol, BS1 5RR.
