In the 1950's and 60's home construction of electronic equipment was a popular hobby. Heathkit provided kits to build hi-fi, radio, test equipment and, in the 1970's, even home computers. The kits included everything down to the last nut and bolt. The kits helped people acquire skills at a time when the electronic engineering was an expanding industry. The picture shos the Heathkit Radio Station.
