Boudica was Queen of the Iceni tribe, from the area now known as Norfolk. Following the death of her husband (Prasutagus) and ill treatment by the Romans, she rallied an army from several British tribes and went on to do considerable damage to the Roman occupiers. 30,000 Romans and their followers were slaughtered in the town of Colchester. The town was burnt to the ground, as was London and St Albans. She was eventually defeated in the West Midland.
