Roman baths provided a place to buy snacks as well as bathe. At the baths you could wash, exercise, socialise, get a haircut, change your tunic AND snack on small delicacies, until going home for a more lavish or humble meal. Foods available included meatballs in sauce, cuttle fish or chicken.
