Elizabeth Cromwell, Oliver Cromwell's wife. Born Elizabeth Bouchier. Married to Oliver in 1620 at St Giles, Cripplegate, London. Known as the Lady Protectoress under the Protectorate. She survived Cromwell and was allowed to live out her life quietly with her son-in-law John Claypole at Northborough, near Peterborough.
