Little is known about the Bowling Green other than its use by the Howard Park Bowls Club.
The Over 60s Club was built on the site in 1953, costing £3000, and was later extended three times. Included is a photograph of the bowling green in 1930 towards the small Bowls Club clubhouse, which still exists. However, today the Over 60s Club is built around it.
