This second part explains why not every rider in the race is expecting, or even trying, to win it, but instead are playing supporting roles for other team members, and also why riders sometimes cooperate with members of rival teams. There's an explanation of some of the terms used in cycle racing, including translation of many of the French words used. By the end, you'll have realized that there's a lot more going on in a cycle race than just everyone trying to be first!
