This plant has pale pink to white petal with darker veins. Each cup-shaped flower is 2-3cm in width and has 5 petals 2-3cm across, the petals being notched. It flowers from May to September. The downy leaves have three to five deeply toothed, quite broad lobes. The pod is beak-shape. It is not native but a garden escape. Its place of origin is SE Europe. Picture taken on waste-ground near Bedford river 17th May 2009.
