West front of the Cromwell Museum, High Street, Huntingdon. Built c 1180 as the Infirmary Hall of the Hospital of St John's, it remained in monastic use until the 16th Century when it became the town's Grammar School. Oliver Cromwell was a pupil here early in the 17th Century - Samuel Pepys was also briefly a pupil at the school.
