A small delicate plant that usually flowers from May to September. Later in the Autumn the leaves turn a red colour (with the warm autumn many are still flowering this year in November.) In Medieval times it was thought to cure blood disorders. It is widespread in shady areas such as hedgerows throughout Britain. Picture taken 4th November 2009 at Maulden Bedfordshire.
