Handbill of Yarmouth School Board to stop parents sending children to sea, 1878Show/Hide_Details
Who would have sent their children to sea? Was this the child’s choice or the parents? There must have been a large number of children working at sea for the school board to produce this poster. This can be compared to country children who worked on the farm.
