Victorian cockroach trap. Cockroaches crawl over the tilting flaps and fall inside, unable to escape.

Victorian wasp trap. The trap is hung up using the wire loop around the neck of the bottle, and something to tempt the wasps is placed inside the trap. Once wasps have flown inside, they are unable to get out as they try to escape through the glass.
